Bobocha Siladen Resort

Community Driven

Bobocha Siladen is located amongst the local village of Siladen, our neighbours are all locals, and so it is important to us that we contribute positively to the community. All of our staff is Indonesian and almost all are from Siladen and live just a short walk away from Bobocha. Since we opened we have maintained a volunteer program to teach English to the children on Siladen as well as Bunaken. Recently a group of international school students from Singapore volunteered their time to help teach the children and also kindly donated brand new laptops to the teachers from Bunaken.

At Bobocha Siladen we buy fish from the neighbourhood fishermen whenever possible. Larger resorts with fixed menus may not be able to consistently source from these fishermen, as the supply is not regular. We have a flexible menu to guarantee the freshness of our produce and so we can continue to support the local businesses. We have also helped to design a garbage collection program in conjunction with the local community to help keep our beaches clean. We hope to continue to facilitate any efforts that can help the community we are a part of.
